Passionate for Life Magazine is the ‘brainchild’ of Dana Hall,
our Editor-In-Chief.
About Dana
I have always had a Passion for Life.
Some of my earliest memories are of fishing with my father and being
allowed to drive the boat, (as fast as possible). Later, as a
high-school teenager, I founded a club with my friends to explore our
world through hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain climbing,
backpacking and camping in the mountains, and at the ocean, exploring
Yosemite and other wonderful California locations.
As a young adult, I planned camping trips, wine tasting adventures,
seaside vacations, and gatherings for our group of family and friends. I
suggested the idea of a Girl’s Night Out group among friends, and ‘the
Divas’ were born. We have enjoyed Karaoke, themed dinners, Pajama
Parties, Games Nights, Chick-Flick Movie Night, Gourmet picnics in the
wine country. More important, we enjoy the camaraderie, and joy of true
friendship. The Divas have given back to the community, as well,
fundraising for victims of the Katrina disaster, gathering donations of
Christmas toys for needy children, scrap booking for Make-A-Wish
children and more.
Passionate for Life was born of great tragedy.
When my husband and I were blessed with our first son, we learned that
he had a severe birth defect. Having endured the stress of years of
surgeries, and procedures, we found ourselves in counseling.
Fortunately, we had a very good counselor, who asked me the seemingly
simple question, “What are your hopes and dreams?” Thus, began my
personal journey of discovery.
My conclusion is this: life is meant to be lived FULLY, PASSIONATELY!
We must jump in with both feet! Explore, experience, participate, and
ENJOY our lives to the fullest! My desire was to inspire others to
discover their passions, and live their Passionate Life.
 I
was told to submit a photo. I am uncomfortable with this, because
Passionate for Life is NOT about me. It is about YOU!
And, besides, this isn’t the ‘real me’. The ‘real me’ is in casual
clothes, joking and laughing with my kids, or enjoying a sip of wine in
the beautiful California wine country with friends!
